Our client - IT infrastructure creating company is looking for Field System Engineer.
Responsibilities:
· Work closely with the sales executives to clearly communicate and demonstrate the value of our solution
· Work with sales and marketing team to develop and deliver technical presentations specific to prospect inquiries
· Manage all technical aspects of the pre-sales process, including evaluating the organization and technical characteristics of prospect sites, measuring prospect site performance, configuring parameters for prospect traffic analysis, deploying the solution portfolio and analyzing and presenting results to account executives and prospective customers.
· Assist the sales executives in relationship management and development of technical sales information and tools.
· Manage the technical evaluation process; conduct detailed requirements analyses and deliver proof-of-concept and prototype projects.
· Act as point of expertise in defined technology and/or products across the region.
· Act as the interface between the field sales teams, Product Management and development.
· Provide both internal (sales and SE) and external (partner) knowledge transfer
· Extensive travel throughout region as required.
· Communicate prospect & customer issues and requirements to Product Management.
Technical Skills:
· Excellent understanding of the HTTP protocol and TCP/IP, HTML and Javascript.
· In-depth knowledge of networking technologies, DNS , SSL and experience with switches, routers, and firewalls in Intranet/Internet/Extranet environments.
· Strong problem-solving skills are essential. An ideal candidate is capable of understanding complex application/data dependencies in addition to performing basic reverse engineering of web applications.
· Good understanding of the structure of the Internet and of performance issues including first mile concerns, last mile limitations, and backbone and network issues including peering performance and latency.
· Good understanding of three-tier Web site infrastructures, and performance and scaling issues faced by modern Web operations.
· Knowledge of and practical experience with caching products, load balancers, content distribution products or services, Web application servers, and/or content management systems highly desirable.
